Vintage Navajo Sterling Silver Raw Turquoise Native American Pendant Necklace. Exquisitely handcrafted with pure sterling silver by a Navajo artisan, this Native American pendant has a beautiful pattern of scrollwork around the edge. Sitting in the center is a tall blue raw turquoise with a lovely matrix. The stone is set in a low sawtooth bezel setting and encircling the stone is a handmade sterling silver braided rope. The pendant measures 3/4" wide by 1" long including the bail.
The stone measures 8.5mm long by 6.5mm wide by 6mm tall. It has no stampings or hallmarks, which is common for older pieces. It did test positive for sterling silver. The 18 long necklace is stamped 925 for sterling silver. This old Native American sterling silver and turquoise pendant necklace is in very good condition, as shown in the photos. It has some minor surface wear, age-appropriate oxidation and needs cleaned.It has not been professionally cleaned so as not to compromise the beauty of the natural patina.
