Authentic Navajo Eugene Belone white buffalo turquoise sterling silver pendant. This vintage Southwestern pendant features a lovely pear shape white buffalo turquoise. The cabochon cut stone has a pleasing white color with black to tan color matrix.
The matrix and inclusions create a nice contrast and compliment with the turquoise. A very thin, and somewhat hard to see, hairline inclusion runs across the stone, towards the upper half of the gem, in a slightly diagonal manner. This stone measures just over one and one-quarter inch in length by slightly under one inch in width. Framing the traditional closed back bezel is a striking pattern of Southwestern style designs. Very pretty and eye catching.
Stamped on the back of this signature pendant is "Eugene Belone", the noted Navajo silversmith and designer, and "Sterling". The pendant is suspended from a very large grooved triangular shape bail.
This pendant has been lightly cleaned but not polished. Shows some age-appropriate wear but overall, nice estate condition. Weighs a very solid and robust 32.3 grams.
Will definitely get noticed and soon to become a go to favorite. This item is in the category "Jewelry & Watches\Ethnic, Regional & Tribal\Necklaces & Pendants".
