Vintage Native American Sterling Silver Hammered Pendant Beaded Lapis Necklace
Up for sale is this Incredible Native American Abstract or Modernist Hammered Pendant Necklace. It features Sterling Silver Beads(each 7mm) and Lapis Lazuli Beads(each 5mm). The necklace is 18 inches long, counting the two hammered pieces leading down to the pendant.
The sterling silver hammered pieces plus the pendant measure 5 1/4 inches long X 2 3/8 inches, so it is a large pendant. One side of the design has the hammering and the back side does not. There are no signatures on the piece but I have tested it successfully as sterling silver with an acid test. It has a working barrel clasp. The points of the hammer pieces are kinda pointy, but not super sharp. They sit up against the first bead when worn. It weighs 56.20 grams.Thanks for looking at this piece!
