Vintage Native American Multi-Stone Fetish Necklace
Vintage Native American Multi-Stone Fetish Necklace. This is one of many I will be listing from a private collection and is to be believed to be Zuni. It has never been worn and is in mint condition.
Total length is 21", the large turquoise center bear is 2" long, and the 4 smaller turquoise inlaid bears are 1-1/2 long. There are 90 smaller fetishes carved from amber, bone, malachite, spinet oyster, lapis, shell and onyx among others. The animals include bears, fox, birds, squirrels, fish and my favorite the owls and more. There is an onyx bead between each fetish and there is no clasp, it's long enough to slip over your head. The total weight is 5.9oz.
