Navajo Vintage Squash Blossom Silver and Turquoise Necklace

NATIVE AMERICAN NAVAJO SILVER AND TURQUOISE SQUASH BLOSSOM NECKLACE. This is a vintage, sterling silver and natural turquoise, Navaho Squash Blossom Necklace dating from approximately the 1950-60's.

Although it is unsigned, it displays the characteristics and craftsmanship of Navaho silverwork of this time period. It has not been polished and has a natural silver patina. The bell beads are all there and the stringing remains tight. There is one small 3mm scallop missing from the border of a small stone, but is barely visible.

This necklace weighs approximately 155 grams and is 24 inches long, with a 3 inch drop for the centerpiece. This is a beautiful, vintage, handmade piece and may show signs consistent with its age, although the condition could be considered very good.
