HUGE Vintage ZUNI Native American Sterling Silver Turquoise Cluster Ring
This listing is for an older vintage Zuni ring made of sterling silver and natural turquoise stones. This older handcrafted Zuni ring is beautifully made and in excellent vintage condition. The stones have beautiful color qualities of greens and bluegreens with subtle matrixes running throughout. Each stone sits securely inside raised sawtooth bezels over a thick bed of solid silver.
With the stones being set like this and the dark patina its a dead giveaway that this ring is from an earlier period. All 21 stones are in EXCELLENT vintage condition with no cracks or inclusions, making for a fantastic vintage piece. For the older age of the ring, the bezels and stones are in amazing condition. The center of the ring features twisted rope surrounding 3 of the 21 stones and 4 silver droplets. The outer row of stones are situated so half of the stones are sticking off the bed of silver below them.
Each petite pointe stone has a silver droplet at the end finishing the design. This ring was very well made with a heavy thick gauge silver. The band is strong and hearty while splitting into a triple shank as it reaches the back of the ring face for extra stability and comfort.
A beautiful example of classic Zuni work. Waiting to be cherished and enjoyed today..... And handed down to loved ones in the future. Size - Between 6.25 and 6.5 on my mandrel. Face of ring measures - 1-1/2 long by 1-1/4 wide. Outer row stones measure - 1/4 Long. Signed by Artist - YES, by an unknown Zuni Artist with the initials BE or BT?? Stamped Sterling - NO, tested and verified. Mid too Later Mid-Century, Late 1960s - Late 1970s. Condition - Preowned, in excellent vintage condition with original stones and aged patina, ready to wear or display. I treat every item as if it were my own.
