Vintage Zuni Large Cluster Ring Eighteen Turquoise Stones Sterling Sz 6.75
Striking old Native American cluster ring. No distinguishing hallmarks or signature that I can see. I think it is Zuni because of the cluster design with small stones, but I'm not 100% sure. I bought it at a trading post gallery in Santa Fe many years ago.
This has a vintage aged quality with 18 turquoise stones set in sterling silver. These stones represent a variety of colors but may have changed color over time due to porosity of the stones and their contact with the oils inherent in human skin. This is actually a good thing from a collector's perspective because it demonstrates an authentic history of wear. Both round and teardrop shaped stones. I have not polished the silver.
