Vintage Signed ML Silver and Turquoise Navajo or Zuni Frog Fetish Necklace. 10% of the final sales price will be donated to One Tree Planted, a non-profit organization dedicated to reforestation. Every dollar raised leads to one tree being planted. This unusual silver and turquoise beaded necklace features a frog-shaped silver naja that is set with a turquoise frog fetish with a second frog fetish pendant dangling at its center.
The style of the frog fetishes is similar to others seen in the market, some attributed to Bernard and/or Alice Leekya Homer, however I cannot make any such attribution with this piece. The reverse of the naja is stamped'ML', and there appears to be a bear paw stamp emerging partly from behind the silver hook that attaches the naja to the necklace. Someone also marked'Lee' in ink. The necklace weighs 87.83 grams and measures 24.5 in length. The frog naja is 3" long and 2" wide, while the larger frog fetish is 13/16" long and the smaller 11/16" long.
