OLD Vintage Zuni Sterling Silver Kingman Turquoise Cluster Cuff Bracelet 103grms

This listing is for an older handcrafted Zuni cuff bracelet, made of sterling silver and Kingman turquoise. This cuff bracelet is older, dating back from the mid-century (1950s- 1970s). Its in excellent vintage condition with its original patina and all 61 original stones. This is a fantastic find......

And not your everyday Zuni cuff... And definitely not like the ones made in high production today with stabilized or block turquoise.

The stones used in this piece are completely natural and come from the well known Kingman mine. It is made of 3 thick and heavy beds of silver and 4 round silver rods for the shank.

At the ends of the cuff large thick end caps were applied for easy application to the wrist. The quadruple shank is very sturdy and has absolutely NO give. Its a very well made solid piece weighing in at heavy 103 grams. The Artist hand carved each stone before placing them in finely etched sawtooth bezels. They have pastel colors of blues and greens with matrixes running through out.

Of the 61 stones used, only 6 have solid color without matrix. Every stone is in great condition with no cracks and are secure in their bezels. There are a total of 28 large snake eye stones, 8 small snake eye stones, and 25 teardrop stones. The design is intricate and symmetrical with each side of the cuff face consisting of matching wing sections. The round face is the showcase for this bracelet. The thick bed of silver is round in shape with a slight curve to hug the wrist. Large snake eye stones border the outer scalloped edge with an inner circle of twisted rope. Moving inward, a row of teardrop stones surround another circle of twisted rope and a cluster of small snake eye stones that rest at the center. The two wing sections hug the side of the face and follow down the edges of the outer shanks.

The Artist spared no amount of silver when creating this piece. Each side section carries the large snake eye and teardrop stones and twisted rope. This classic Zuni made piece will make a great addition to your existing Native American collection or it could be the the perfect piece to start one. Cherish and enjoy this cuff for now....

Total Inner Circumference Including Gap - 6-11/16 (will fit a 6-1/2 wrist perfectly). Face of Cuff Measures - 2-3/8 Tall by 2-3/8 Wide (Not including side wings). Side Wings Measure - 1-3/4 Tall by 1 Wide (measured at widest points).

Large Snake Eye Stones Measure - Just under 1/4 in diameter. Small Snake Eye Stones Measure - Just over 1/8 in diameter. Teardrop Stones Measure - 1/4 Long by 1/8 Wide.
