Large Old Vintage Hopi Indian Coil Basket Vegetal Dyes Native American Basketry

Offered is a large, antique Hopi Indian Basket, with a simple geometric design created with natural, vegetal dyes. This basket was probably made for storage or other uses. It measures 10" across by 8" tall.

Please see pictures for the condition. Some rubbed spots here and there, as expected from an antique basket which was made for use. One handle has broken off.

Our Native American and First Nation items have been collected from various places--auctions, estate sales, pow wows and craft stores from our travels. Many of our Quill Boxes come from Manitoulin Island, where we spend part of each summer. We hate to let some of these items go but with our children in college, it's time to liquidate some of the collection and share our items with others.
